Kristin Wilton is a Research Consultant with Summa Strategies, supporting government relations, communications and consumer issues. She supports senior consultants in advising clients in a variety of fields including telecommunications, finance, defence procurement, environment, public safety and transportation.
Prior to joining Summa, Kristin gained a diverse range of communications experience while working in corporate communications in the oil and gas industry, health care in the not-for-profit industry and economic development in the private sector.
With a passion for politics, Kristin was part of the Young Liberals of Canada and worked at both the federal and provincial levels of government by volunteering on Parliament Hill and taking part in several provincial campaigns. She played a key role in strategy development for each campaign, while also serving as the communications and social media manager. She is experienced in developing internal and external strategic communications plans, social media strategies and planning small and large scale functions through her extensive event management experience.
Born and raised in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Kristin has a Bachelor of Public Relations from Mount Saint Vincent University and a Master’s of Political Management from Carleton University’s School of Public Affairs.
