Hypertension results from genes. Blood pressure rises with the aging, and thus variations in blood pressure can be identified. Huge intake of salt, laziness in exercising etc can play a major role.

Hypertension results from a complex interaction of genes and            environmental factors. Numerous common genetic variants with small effects on blood pressure have been identified, as well as some rare genetic variants with large effects on blood pressure, but the genetic basis of hypertension is still poorly understood.

Other factors such as consumption of caffeine and deficiency of vitamin D also have the possible role in increasing hypertension. Moreover obesity, contributes towards hypertension. The reason for primary hypertension is still unclear.

Whereas, secondary hypertension results from a knowable cause.  Most common disease is related to kidney. Pregnancy, sleep apnea are some of  the causes of secondary hypertension.

  • Heart weakens itself, where it may stop reacting.
  • A wall arises in the artery.
  • Blood vessels in the kidney start getting narrow, which may result in heart stroke or heart attack. As the heart creates maximum pressure, arteries should be maintained properly so as to ensure that the blood flows easily throughout the body.
  • There might be vision problem in the eyes where blood vessel gets damaged or it may start bleeding which can lead to blindness.
